Tips to follow before your first camel ride in Jeddah

Are you looking to explore the vast desert terrains of Saudi Arabia? Then you may want to read this first.

The obvious mode of transportation will be camel riding in Jeddah. But before you hop on the animal, make sure to go through this post. We bring to you some interesting tips for camel riding in Jeddah that might help you out.

1 – First, you need to find out about a camel school is near you. There are about 14 to 15 schools (in Jeddah and Mecca) that generally have better instruction than the others and can prepare your ride for something a little more adventurous.

2 – Secondly, you need to choose a good horse. They are pretty much identical to the mares. Some of them get scared easily and won’t go where you want them to go. So the ride may end in a little bit of a disappointment.

3 – You will also want to find out what sort of routes the school takes out on their adventures and if they have any special excursions around your GPS location (for instance, taking you to view some famous historical sites, etc.).

4 – Also, if you are new to the experience, take it slow. Camel riding is fun and relaxing, but I wouldn’t recommend it for those who have never ridden a camel before.

5 – Lastly, ask about the camel’s health status. It is probably not a good idea to be mounting a camel that has an unknown (or poorly known) health record.

With these tips, you can be assured of a memorable experience in camel riding in Jeddah.
